History of W. P Tarbell of New Hampshire

Wendell Philips Tarbell was born in 1854.

In 1888, he patented a double screw mechanism used in hand screws, and later applied to bar clamps. In 1891 he was known as a clamp and screw manufacturer in Milford NH.

By 1895 Tarbell was employed in the Milford furniture factory of French and Heald, where Daniel Milton Heald made picture frames after 1907.
