This web site is for those who use, study, collect, deal in, or just love, wooden clamps and related woodworking tools. The emphasis is on factory made, rather than individually made, tools. However, noteworthy individuals are often identified.

If you have visited before, check the latest news on wooden clamps. If you want information on one maker of wooden clamps, or one brand, or whatever, use the search feature for the site. If you want to be alerted when there are changes, then use the registration form.

Otherwise, read on down, browse around, and send me e-mail. Enjoy!

Structure and navigation

This page is "home". Almost every other page has a link back here.

The site is organized into major sections, each headed by a page to guide you into the details of that section. These "guide pages" have a navigation table at the top. (See the example above.) There is more info available on the organization of this site.

At the top of every page (except this one) is a trail of bread crumbs that will take you "higher", until you get to the guide pages.

At the bottom of each page is a navigation table (see the example below). It takes you both "higher" and "sideways", "backward" and "forward". It also provides some common services, such as "print this page", "email" and the like.

Many of the pages also have a "Table of Contents", with links to their content, so you can dive right to where you want to go.

This web site, and its navigation, do not use FRAME features. This will enable you to bookmark particular pages. I hope you enjoy.

Techniques, Platforms

If you experience any problems, please let me know.

I validate this site against W3C standards, and avoid deprecated techniques. I tolerate slight differences in appearance, from one browser to another, in order to simplify page preparation and maintenance.

I avoid or limit techniques that might limit viewers. I have found JavaScript to be useful, but not Flash and similar technology.

I try to increase accessibility, guided by Federal standards.

See Policy page for more details.
